Mechanochemistry and Solvent-Free Sustainable Synthesis

Additional sessions will consider in-situ and time-resolved monitoring under milling conditions, using Raman, X-ray diffraction and synchrotron techniques to follow reaction trajectories. Presentations may cover mechanocatalysis, mechanoredox chemistry and piezoelectrically driven reactions, alongside scale-up case studies with attention to heat management, throughput and quality control. Discussion will extend to green metrics and life-cycle comparison against solution-phase routes, including whether solvent elimination remains favourable once mechanical energy demand is accounted for. Continuous manufacturing and process intensification will also be addressed. The integration of mechanochemistry with sustainable synthesis and circular materials strategies will be emphasized, including collaborations with process chemistry, engineering and industrial partners.
